Where water wins, vinyl plays.

This is the floor for the rooms laminate should stay out of: full bathrooms, laundry rooms, mudrooms, kitchens with enthusiastic dishwashers, and whole-house slabs. Fully waterproof means the board itself cannot swell — we left one under water for thirty days and measured nothing. The attached pad earns an IIC 71 sound rating and skips a whole installation step. Materials run $2.79 per sqft flat; installed by our own crews, most projects land near $6.29 all-in.

Lot discipline is identical to our laminate: every SKU below is stocked as a single production lot, logged against your order, so every box matches and a repair plank years from now still will. Six colors, stocked deep, is the honest version of a hundred-SKU vinyl wall — and all six are free to take home as full-size planks.

Six colors, zero swell.

Full-size planks of all six are free to take home. Prices are per sqft, materials only; boxes cover 25.77 sqft.

Template range shown while our first factory lots are labeled — specs and lot discipline are final, colorway names ship with the samples. Stock figures update at will-call.

Laminate vs LVP — which fits your home?

LVP is the water-proof choice: a stone-core plank that shrugs off wet rooms, slabs, and pets with poor aim. It is thinner and denser underfoot than laminate — some people love that firmness, some want the woody feel back. That is what the free planks are for.

  • Full baths, laundry, mudrooms — no wood fiber in the core, so there is nothing to swell.
  • Concrete slabs — unbothered by seasonal slab moisture that stresses wood-core floors.
  • One floor through the whole house — wet rooms included, no transitions needed.

Choose laminate instead if

  • You want the hardwood feel — the 12 mm core walks and sounds closest to solid wood.
  • Scratch resistance is the priority — AC5 is a step beyond any vinyl wear layer.
  • Dry rooms only — bedrooms and living areas play to laminate's strengths.

LVP questions, answered straight.

Is LVP really fully waterproof?

The plank is. Its SPC core is limestone and polymer — no wood fiber, nothing that can drink. We left a finished panel submerged for 30 days and measured zero swell. A flood can still soak drywall and subfloor around any floor, so mop up either way — but the floor itself will not be the casualty.

Laminate or LVP for my project?

Rooms with water — baths, laundry, mudroom — take LVP, full stop. Dry living areas can go either way: KONO Laminate feels and sounds more like hardwood, LVP is thinner, denser, and completely indifferent to moisture. Take a free plank of each and walk on both in socks.

Do I need underlayment under LVP?

No — and please do not add any. The 1 mm IXPE acoustic pad is bonded on at the factory and earns the IIC 71 rating. A second foam layer underneath adds bounce that stresses the click joint, which is why it voids the warranty.

Will a 20 mil wear layer survive my dogs?

20 mil is a commercial spec — it is what gets installed in shops and offices. Claws, chair legs, and toy trucks are its normal day. Use felt pads under furniture and wide floor protectors under true point loads like a piano, and it will outlast the dog's patience.
