Color groups are a guide: undertones shift with daylight and lamps, and one plank can sit in two groups. Pick up a free sample and look at it on your own floor.

The clear top layer that takes scratches, scuffs and claws. It decides how long the floor looks new, not how thick it feels. 12 mil suits bedrooms, offices and rentals; 20 mil is the commercial spec for kitchens, hallways and pets.

Total plank thickness, attached pad included. A thicker plank feels more solid, sounds less hollow and bridges small subfloor dips better. It does not change scratch resistance: that is the wear layer.

Plank width. Wider planks mean fewer seams across the floor and a calmer room that reads larger; narrower planks look classic and suit small rooms. All our planks are 60 inches long.

Materials per square foot. Installation by our crews in the Sacramento area adds $2.35 per sqft; removal, baseboard and stairs are priced per room.

A collection is one spec (thickness, wear layer, width) in several colors. Mixing colors from one collection keeps the floor height and feel identical between rooms.

Before you choose a dark floor.

Dark vinyl planks give a room weight and contrast, especially against white walls and cabinets. These are our deepest browns, charcoals and grays.

Dark floors show dust, lint and light pet hair sooner than mid tones, and they make a small, dim room feel smaller. In a bright room with light walls, they look sharp and expensive.

A floor with grain variation (Ironbark, Barnwood) hides more than a flat dark color (Espresso). Graphite Oak is the dark choice for gray, black and white interiors.

Dark questions, answered straight.

Do dark vinyl floors show scratches?

Scratches in the wear layer show as light lines on dark colors more than on light ones. A 20 mil wear layer and felt pads help.

Do dark floors make a room look smaller?

In a small or dim room, yes. In a large, bright room, a dark floor anchors the space.

Do you have black LVP?

Not true black. Espresso Oak and Graphite Oak are our darkest.
