Color groups are a guide: undertones shift with daylight and lamps, and one plank can sit in two groups. Pick up a free sample and look at it on your own floor.
The clear top layer that takes scratches, scuffs and claws. It decides how long the floor looks new, not how thick it feels. 12 mil suits bedrooms, offices and rentals; 20 mil is the commercial spec for kitchens, hallways and pets.
Total plank thickness, attached pad included. A thicker plank feels more solid, sounds less hollow and bridges small subfloor dips better. It does not change scratch resistance: that is the wear layer.
Plank width. Wider planks mean fewer seams across the floor and a calmer room that reads larger; narrower planks look classic and suit small rooms. All our planks are 60 inches long.
Materials per square foot. Installation by our crews in the Sacramento area adds $2.35 per sqft; removal, baseboard and stairs are priced per room.
A collection is one spec (thickness, wear layer, width) in several colors. Mixing colors from one collection keeps the floor height and feel identical between rooms.

Why a rigid core matters.
SPC means stone polymer composite: limestone powder and PVC pressed into a rigid board. It is the core under every KONO LVP plank, from 4 mm in KONO Essentials to 6.5 mm in KONO Summit.
Older flexible vinyl plank telegraphs every bump in the subfloor and has to be glued. A rigid SPC core bridges small dips, clicks together as a floating floor and barely moves with heat, which matters in a house that sits at 100°F in July with the blinds open.
The core thickness changes how solid the floor feels underfoot: 6.5 mm (KONO Summit, 8 mm total) walks closest to a wood floor, 4 to 5 mm cores are lighter and cost less. WPC, the other rigid core, uses foamed plastic and feels softer but dents more easily under furniture. We stock SPC only.

SPC rigid core questions, answered straight.
What is SPC flooring?
Vinyl plank built on a stone polymer composite core: limestone and PVC pressed into a rigid, waterproof board, with a printed decor film and a clear wear layer on top. Ours also has an IXPE pad attached underneath.
SPC or WPC?
SPC is denser and harder, so it resists dents from furniture and holds up better to sun-driven temperature swings. WPC is a little softer and warmer underfoot. For most homes we recommend SPC.
Is rigid core the same as SPC?
Rigid core is the family name; SPC and WPC are the two kinds. Every rigid core plank we sell is SPC.
