What floors actually cost in Sacramento.

Published prices. Itemized quotes. No games.

Every number on this page is on the record. If a bid you got elsewhere refuses to itemize like ours does, that is your answer to “why is it cheaper.”

Installed pricing, on the record.

Installed means installed: KONO materials, acoustic underlayment, labor by our own crews, and standard trim, all under one lifetime warranty. Materials-only rows are the same shelf DIYers and pros buy from, same lot discipline. We buy by the container from established flooring manufacturers and stock it in our own Sacramento warehouse, so the materials column reads like a dealer price, not a showroom markup.

Anatomy of a KONO quote.

A real quote is a document you can argue with. Here is a sample, line by line, with the reason each line exists in the margin.

Why three quotes can differ by $10,000.

Same room, same laminate, wildly different totals. It is almost never the flooring. It is one of these four.

01Scope

One bid includes demolition, haul-away, and trim; another leaves them “TBD.” Same floor, thousands apart before a single plank clicks.

02Prep assumptions

Flattening a 1948 subfloor can cost $300 or $3,000. A quote that skips the laser check is a guess, and the guess becomes your change order.

03Overhead

W-2 crews, insurance, a stocked warehouse, and a warranty reserve cost real money. A bid without them is cheaper, until year three, when you need someone to answer.

04Minimums

Small jobs carry trip minimums; big jobs earn volume breaks. Two honest bids can sit dollars-per-sqft apart on project size alone.

90-day price lock

Your fixed quote holds for 90 days, even if our container costs move.

Change orders in writing

No extra work and no extra dollar without a written change order you sign first.

California deposit law

Deposits capped at $1,000 or 10%, whichever is less, per CSLB rules. Anyone asking for half up front is telling you something.

Paid when you're happy

Final payment only after your walkthrough, with product and labor under one warranty.
