Laminate is the floor that walks and sounds most like hardwood for the money. Ours is KONO Harbor: a 12 mm board with a waterproof core, wax-sealed edges and a 2 mm pad attached, 14 mm in total, in 9-1/4 inch by 60 inch planks. Every color page lists its full spec.
This floor is for real households: kids, dogs, sandy shoes, rolling office chairs. AC4 is the wear class for busy homes and light commercial use, so hallways and kitchens are normal duty. Planks run five feet long and over nine inches wide, so a room takes fewer seams. The calculator prices materials and installation for your room.
We publish only what the manufacturer has put in writing. Where a document is still on its way (warranty terms, emissions certificates), the color page says so instead of guessing. Ask for a free sample of any color before you decide.

Laminate vs LVP: which fits your home?
Laminate is the wood-feel choice: a thick, rigid board that sounds and walks like hardwood, with a surface that shrugs off claws and chair legs. It is the right call for living areas, hallways and bedrooms, and the wrong call for a full bathroom.
- Living rooms, halls, bedrooms: a 12 mm board on a 2 mm pad feels and sounds closest to hardwood underfoot.
- Scratch resistance first: an AC4 surface is very hard to mark.
- Kitchens with wipe-up habits: the surface sheds spills; standing water at seams for days is not its job.
Choose LVP instead if
- Full baths and laundry rooms: the SPC core has no wood fiber, so nothing can swell.
- Slab-on-grade moisture: vinyl does not care what the concrete is doing this winter.
- Tighter budgets: SPC starts lower per sqft than laminate.

Is 12 mm laminate worth it over 8 mm?
For how a floor feels, yes. A thicker core is stiffer over imperfect subfloors, quieter underfoot, and takes deeper surface texture. KONO Harbor is a 12 mm board with a 2 mm pad attached, 14 mm in total.
Is laminate okay for a kitchen?
Yes, with normal wipe-up habits. For rooms where water sits (full baths, laundry), we point you to KONO LVP instead, and we say so before you buy.
What does AC4 mean?
AC ratings measure how well a laminate surface resists wear, from AC1 to AC5. AC4 covers busy homes and light commercial use, so kitchens, hallways and pets are normal duty.

Yes. Ask for a free sample of any color and look at it in your own light. In the Bay Area we deliver samples once you place a deposit on your order.
