Every seam is a line the eye counts, so wider and longer boards make a room look bigger and quieter. Wide planks suit open plans and long hallways; run them along the longest wall or toward the main window.
A wide floating board needs a flat subfloor, because a dip shows more under a wide plank than a narrow one. Our crews check and level before quoting. Installed, wide plank laminate starts at $5.35 per sqft in the Sacramento area.
