Where 7 mm fits best.
KONO Valley is 7 mm in total: a 5 mm rigid SPC core and a 2 mm IXPE pad, the thickest pad in our range, under a 12 mil wear layer. It is the quiet, soft-underfoot choice for bedrooms and upstairs rooms.
The 2 mm pad takes more of the clatter out of footsteps, which neighbors below and people downstairs notice. The 12 mil wear layer suits bedrooms, offices and family rooms; for a busy kitchen or a big dog, look at the 20 mil collections.
All seven colors share one spec and one price, so you can run the same plank through a whole floor of the house. Installed, 7 mm LVP starts at $5.15 per sqft in the Sacramento area.

7 mm thick questions, answered straight.
Is 7mm vinyl plank flooring good?
Yes, for most rooms. 7 mm total with a 5 mm SPC core is a solid, rigid plank; the 12 mil wear layer is the thing to weigh for heavy traffic.
Is the 7 mm thickness with or without the pad?
With: 5 mm SPC core plus a 2 mm attached pad.
Is 7mm LVP good for upstairs rooms?
It is our first pick there: the thicker pad cuts footstep noise for the rooms below.
