Color groups are a guide: undertones shift with daylight and lamps, and one plank can sit in two groups. Pick up a free sample and look at it on your own floor.
The clear top layer that takes scratches, scuffs and claws. It decides how long the floor looks new, not how thick it feels. 12 mil suits bedrooms, offices and rentals; 20 mil is the commercial spec for kitchens, hallways and pets.
Total plank thickness, attached pad included. A thicker plank feels more solid, sounds less hollow and bridges small subfloor dips better. It does not change scratch resistance: that is the wear layer.
Plank width. Wider planks mean fewer seams across the floor and a calmer room that reads larger; narrower planks look classic and suit small rooms. All our planks are 60 inches long.
Materials per square foot. Installation by our crews in the Sacramento area adds $2.35 per sqft; removal, baseboard and stairs are priced per room.
A collection is one spec (thickness, wear layer, width) in several colors. Mixing colors from one collection keeps the floor height and feel identical between rooms.

Choosing a light floor that stays light.
Pale naturals, light oak and whitewashed tones open up a room and hide dust and pet hair better than dark floors. These are the light colors across all five KONO LVP collections.
Look at the undertone first. Light oaks with a warm, slightly golden cast (Wheat, Sunlit, Dune) sit well with white trim and warm wood furniture. Cooler light tones (Mist, Silver, Cloud) suit gray and white kitchens. Whitewashed planks (Seashell, Chalk, Porcelain) are the brightest.
Light floors show dark grit and mud more than mid tones, so a mat at the entry helps. Take a sample home and look at it in morning and evening light before you decide.
