The clear top layer that takes scratches, scuffs and claws. It decides how long the floor looks new, not how thick it feels. 12 mil suits bedrooms, offices and rentals; 20 mil is the commercial spec for kitchens, hallways and pets.
Total plank thickness, attached pad included. A thicker plank feels more solid, sounds less hollow and bridges small subfloor dips better. It does not change scratch resistance: that is the wear layer.

A collection is one spec (thickness, wear layer, width) in several colors. Mixing colors from one collection keeps the floor height and feel identical between rooms.

Why greige works everywhere.
Greige is gray with a warm beige undertone. It works with both cool and warm palettes, which is why it is the safest neutral for a whole-house floor.
A cool gray can look blue next to warm cabinets; a beige can look yellow next to white trim. Greige sits between them, so it survives a repaint and a change of furniture. It also hides dust and pet hair well.
Taupe Oak and Pebble Oak lean gray, Stonewash Oak leans beige, and Weathered Oak adds rustic grain. All are waterproof SPC with the pad attached.
