Why we say "fully waterproof" here and only "surface-waterproof" on our laminate: the SPC core in Pacific Driftwood contains no wood fiber, so seams and edges physically cannot swell. A flood can still soak the drywall and subfloor around any floor — mop up either way — but the planks will not be the casualty.
The 30-day immersion test
We left a finished KV-310 panel under water for a month, then measured it: zero swell, zero cupping. Stone core, vinyl skin — there is nothing in this board that can drink.

Can KV-310 go in a full bathroom?
Yes. The SPC core is fully waterproof — kitchen, laundry, full bath. Leave the standard expansion gap, run a bead of silicone where the floor meets tub and shower, and wet rooms stay inside the warranty.
Do I need underlayment under it?
No. The 1 mm IXPE acoustic pad is factory-attached and earns the IIC 71 rating. Adding a second foam layer underneath voids the warranty — the extra bounce works the click joint loose.
Can it float over my existing tile?
Usually, yes. If grout lines are under 1/4 inch wide and the floor is flat to 3/16 inch over 10 feet, KV-310 floats straight over it. Wider joints get a quick skim coat — always priced as its own line.
Can I buy from the same dye lot later?
This entire stock is one production lot — #KV310-2605 — and we log your lot number with your order. Keep one spare box for repairs; the calculator above adds it for you.
